NAM supports new ideas and locally driven approaches that create
opportunities, build skills and help communities explore what is possible.
Maker Space
Creating spaces where residents can learn, experiment, develop
practical skills and make things together.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Maker Space
The Maker Space initiative supports hands-on learning,
creativity and skill development in participating Nunavut
communities by creating spaces where residents can learn,
experiment and make things together.
Working with community and project partners, NAM is helping
support opportunities for residents to access tools, technology
and practical learning experiences that may not otherwise be
readily available locally.
Maker spaces can provide a place to explore new skills, share
knowledge, develop ideas and encourage creativity and innovation
within the community.
The initiative is being developed with participating communities,
allowing local interests and priorities to help shape how each
space is used and the opportunities it provides.
